Style Theory: What to wear when it is rainy, windy, sometimes warm and technically summer? The answer: layer it up..a raincoat, a fine top, denim and a pair of shoeboots...
I have been looking for a pair of shoeboots for a while, actually a few years, so when Cloggs asked me to select a pair of shoes from their range these Gabor shoe boots called to me. They are butter soft, tan leather, slightly wider at the top of the boot meaning they are flattering on the leg, especially when worn with dresses and being tan they go with everything. I styled them with my Levis, a boho top and (my sister's) Burberry trench (I lurve that trench) and her new Radley bag (she is over from Spain and I am taking advantage of her wardrobe!). They are super comfortable, the perfect heel height to walk in and so soft, I cannot wait to wear them with my denim dress when this heatwave that we have been promised turns up ...

So today, it is blowing a gale, I hoping tomorrow brings the possibility of sun and a chance to wear some summer clothes, fingers crossed!
Next time the Essential Black Dress..chic, sophisticated, flattering and oh so useful.
As always I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, how are you dressing for this crazy weather, or are you basking in the heat somewhere gorgeously tropical? Are you fan a shoeboots, how do you style yours??

I probably wouldn't wear these in the rain for fear of wet toes, but practicalities aside, they are gorgeous & I absolutely love this whole outfit on you!

Now in the interests of showing them at their best, surely you could have worn a little dress today!!! It is sooooo cold isn't it. But at least you have a fabulous pair of shoes to console yourself x
ReplyDeleteThe shoes are lovely Frances and they're going to be a fab addition to the wardrobe - a nice alternative to the tan H&M sandals we have. And the new trench - I die (swoon).
ReplyDeleteOh no - it's your sister's. Keep it anyway!
DeleteWhat's not to love and I have a few Gabor shoes and boots and they wear VERY well. So comfortable too.
ReplyDeleteLove a shoe boot. Wet toes wouldn't bother me. This rain is so depressing but hopefully it is gong to change soon! Lorraine x
ReplyDeleteI'm liking these shoe boots Frances. Love the way you've styled them!

I think you need a Burberry of your own, you suit it! The shoe boots are lovely a great addition to your wardrobe. x
ReplyDeleteThese look great, France's - you chose well! This weathers crazy. I can't wait for some sunshine. Lynne xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shoes, I have my on on them - they're on the wish list! Love your jeans too. But I have a Burberry trench already....yay!!! Love the way you have styled this look. I was just too cold yesterday so resorted to jeans and sweatshirt with a vest underneath! But perhaps I should have tried a boho top (with a vest underneath!)
ReplyDeleteOoh fab new shoes....perfectly styled for this typical British weather we are having! xx
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this outfit!!! Those shoe boots are gorgeous and would literally go with everything in your wardrobe - great choice!! Plus that trench and the bag............xx
