Jewels that Look like they cost the Earth..but they Don't!!

Coat - QVC Helene Berman
Top - Des Petits Hauts Quattrorish £165
Bag - Amanda Wakeley at QVC £269.94
Leather Leggings - Hush £345
Shoes - Gucci £585

Style Theory: I am a sucker for sparkle, I love coloured jewels, gold chunky bracelets, anything that will add a touch of glam to my outfits. However, I do not have the budget for diamonds so the QVC range of jewellery is completely up my street with their semi precious stones, simulated diamonds and statement gold plated jewellery, pieces that look incredibly special and expensive but do not break the bank...and make the most beautiful Christmas presents..

Earrings - QVC £57
Ring - QVC £40
These Diamonique simulated precious stones earrings are stunning on, they are gold plated and the perfect size hoop. The coloured stones are beautiful, the stones are studded along the back half of the inside of the hoop so can be seen sparkling from all angles, they would make a fab Christmas present. I love wearing them with all black, they add a subtle splash of colour to a chic outfit..
Earrings - QVC £57
Also, I have been wearing this beautiful Lisa Snowdon @QVC ring, it is yellow gold vermeil and has amethyst, citrine, blue topaz, garnet and peridot stones, at £40 it is such a good buy, a really special piece to treasure forever.
Ring - QVC £40
These matching earrings look fab on if you are not a fan of hoops, again these are inset with the coloured gemstones listed above..

Party time...

Dress - Karen Millen £235
Shoes - M&S £69
Bag - Hush £79

Style Theory: It is getting towards that party season, where the little black dress comes out to play. Always chic, a black dress looks understated and cool, it is one of those party outfits that is really easy to wear and style, just throw it one with a pair of heels and a bag and go party....

This year my LBD of choice is this tux dress from Karen Millen, it has a sleek, 80s vibe that I love, masculine hints but super elegant at the same time. It skims over all lumps and bumps and is a great length to wear without tights (I am not into tights as yet and a slathering of Vita Liberata Body Blur is a life saver covers every mark on my legs and gives them a glow!)

I am wearing a size 10, it comes up a little generous but I found it fitted well on the top of my arms so not sure if a size down would be sightly tight on the arms. It is a super comfy dress, I wore a vest top underneath as it does gape a little when I sit. It feels really comfy on, in the winter I will wear it with spotty sheer tights and black heels for a real 80s look.

Coat - Jaegar (old season)

Add a camel coat and a pair of leopard print shoes for an easy dressed up look....these M&S shoes are leather and incredibly comfortable, the only court shoes that stay on my feet and I can successfully walk in.

I am ready....... bring on those Christmas par-ties!!!

Autumn Style...

Jumper - M&S £35
Leather Trousers - M&S £199
Bag - M&S £55
Shoes - M&S £69
Style Theory: As the leaves turn to red and gold on the trees, the days get shorter and the nights longer, it is time to cocoon ourselves in cosy, soft knitwear. It is one of the things I most look forward to each Autumn/Winter season, buying new knitwear to keep me looking stylish but feeling super snug for the long months ahead.

Marks and Spencer excels in knitwear, the textures, shapes and colours always add some much needed interest to my Autumn wardrobe basics. Each piece of knitwear can be incredibly versatile, dressed down with jeans and wellies for weekend walks in the woods or dressed up with tailored trousers and heels for a smart, work look..buy well and wear all season and for seasons to come.

Jumper - M&S £35
Leather Trousers - M&S £199
Leather Bag- M&S £55
Shoes - M&S £69
Big, chunky knits are, again, big news, this beautiful turquoise jumper is warm, soft and feels like a huge hug around me (I am wearing size 10 - it's true to size). I have paired it with buttery soft, leather trousers (they come up a little large these are a size 8) and heels but it can equally be teamed with a pair of skinny jeans and trainers..the colour is perfect for this time of year and flattering against the skin. Clash up with red and pink accessories to add a splash of colour to a winter look.

Jacket - M&S £89
Poloneck - M&S £17.50
Jeans - M&S £45
Shoes - M&S £39.50
Leather Bag- M&S £55
The skinny rib jumper is an eternally useful piece in every wardrobe. Wear layered under jackets, this black boucle jacket looks amazing on (size down), I love it wearing it with jeans and heels for a dressed up/dressed down look. Or layer the skinny polo under dresses for added style and warmth, super versatile, a key Autumn/Winter wardrobe basic.

Cashmere Jumper - M&S £75
Cashmere Jumper - M&S £99
Cashmere Scarf - M&S £125 or similar £25
Leather Biker Jacket - M&S £249
Trainers - M&S £49.50

Photos by Victoria Metaxas
This outfit, to me, is pure luxurious heaven, I am a huge fan of M&S cashmere, the cashmere jumpers are super soft, cut beautifully, wash well and keep their look wear after wear. I paired my navy, cashmere jumper (size 12) with a pair of ultra cosy cashmere tracksuit bottoms (size small), a cashmere oversized scarf, leather biker (size down) and leather trainers. It really is the one outfit I wish I could wear every day, from the moment I wake to lazy evenings at home with glass of wine and a good book/netflix series. The biker is one of my Autumn must haves, size down and wear it neat (but make sure you can still fit a jumper under) wear with dresses and trainers or boots and add this beautiful cashmere scarf for extra warmth.

Autumn and Winter I am ready for you.....weekend afternoons in a pretty pub with a glass of red wine, walks through the countryside finishing with a mug of hot chocolate and dark evenings spent in front of the fire...add the perfect knitwear to snuggle in to and suddenly winter doesn't look quite so bad...

Best Beauty....

Bobbi Brown Foundation Set

Style Theory: I am no beauty expert but I have been introduced to the most amazing new products over the last few months via QVC. Some loved, well known ones and some new beauty products that I hadn't tried (the Bobbi Brown foundation is amazing!)

Here is a run down of my top five beauty items that caught my eye when I was at QVC recently, it really is worth looking out for their special value sets as they normally package together all the best sellers of the range (not the duds as some sets have in them) and you can save loads..

Here are my faves...

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Duo and Brush £45
This Bobbi Brown foundation set is a revelation, the foundation stick is great to use under eyes, around the nose and chin for the places you need a little more matt coverage. The Skin Foundation with SPF 15 evens out the skin tone, is super light on the skin and gives the skin a subtle, incredibly healthy glow. I am wearing the 'natural' shade in the photo above, it is so light you can still see my freckles but really makes my skin look naturally healthier and evens my tone in a non cakey, mask like way. The set also includes a great foundation brush, I am officially a convert to this foundation.
Liz Earle Indulgent Beauty 6 Piece Collection was £75 now £49.96
Love this set, it is full of the most iconic, fabulous FULL sized products. Starting with the original cleanse and polish which gently removes every last trace of make up and dirt from my face with the help of a muslin (there are two included) It leaves my face feeling fresh and deep cleaned but is super gentle on my skin. There is also the new Cleanse and Polish Mimosa and Angelica (in the Uplifting collection) the smell is divine and again it leaves skin feeling (and smelling amazing)  The Instant Boost Skin Tonic immediately brightens my skin leaving it feeling zingy fresh, then slathering on Skin Repair Moisturiser which at the moment I put two to three layers on as my skin is feeling dry. Added to this is a beautiful full sized body wash and a full sized handwash. It all comes in a beautiful gift box so is the ultimate present (or treat to yourself!)
Nails Inc 3 Piece Porchester Square Collection £29
This is the best selling Nails Inc colour on QVC, muted, neutral and super flattering on nails this set is such an easy colour to wear and looks chic with a nonchalant edge.
Tula Day and Night Cream £40
I have nearly finished my second pot of this moisturiser, it is light, non greasy but makes my skin feel so hydrated, I am a huge fan of this range.
Julep Lip Gloss £24
I know I have mentioned this lipgloss before but I cant resist putting it in my top 5, just gorgeous thick, mousse like gloss that glides onto my lips and gives a beautiful rich colour, and it stays on for hours, eventually when it does wear off it leaves the most beautiful lipstain colour on lips, it looks very cool, I have the 'pinks' set.

It is so worth checking out QVC for beauty and skincare, they have the most amazing range of brands and have some great deals on all the big names.. Perfect if you are looking for a special gift or having a treat yo'self moment which we all need to do from time to time..

Thanks for reading, until next time Fran xx
