Some Much Needed Inspiration from Paris..

Style Theory: Sezane is a brand I have been stalking for a while, the clothing is understated and so so chic, the colours are muted and tasteful and they look stunning on. It is the perfect range to buy a few pieces from to breathe some life into a winter wardrobe and take you seamlessly from winter to spring to summer. I must admit, it is on the pricier side (hence why I haven't shopped from it before) but I have seen it more and more on people and can see it will be pieces I will wear again and again so I guess I can use that old theory of price per wear they are worth it!!

Here are the items on my shopping list...
Sezane £90
The most beautiful blouse, (as seen above on Sincerely Jules) It looks amazing on, it will be fabulous in the summer with denim shorts and tan sandals, for now wear with jeans, trainers and a chunky cardigan. I have read up quite a lot about Sezane sizing and in general it appears it is pretty true to size but I will order a few items and let you know.
Sezane £90
How beautiful is it in the red too?!..such a stunning, vibrant colour, this would look amazing in the summer against sunkissed skin.
Sezane £70
A cool twist on the breton..I love the back detail, it adds a little more interest to that timeless look of breton, jeans and trainers.
Sezane £90
This is a silk chiffon and lurex blouse, it is one of those blouses that is so easy to wear and will 'dress up' a pair of jeans in an instant. Pick out one of the colours in the blouse and match to a handbag or pair of shoes/trainers for a gorgeous spring look. Now wear wth black, skinny jeans and black chunky boots.
Sezane £90
Super chic jumper with a fabulous bow detail. So cosy, so pretty..
Sezane £100
This mohair mix jumper is not cheap but is beautiful on, it is soft and the colour is subtle. Chloe and Natasha Wear and Where have this jumper and it looks beautiful on them.
Sezane £130
Again this is a silk chiffon dress, I love the touches of gold on it that will definitely work in the summer too with flat tan sandals, I love a touch of gold in the summer! But for now wear with black opaque tights and ankle boots.
Sezane Coat £265
Sezane Bag £160 (smaller version than seen in photo above)
Super chic, the perfect Spring coat, I love it paired with jeans and the tan bucket bag, so understated, so cool. The bag linked is smaller than the one pictured (that one has sold out) but it is beautiful, the ideal tan colour, it will look fab in the summer with matching sandals.
Sezane £135
Classic, these shoes will last you year and year, perfect with jeans or dresses.
Sezane £115
Every wardrobe needs a neutral pump, they are so flattering, elongating legs and matching with every colour and print.

There is my slightly long list, this is not a sponsored post, I am just slightly loving all things Sezane and the moment and wanted to share with you. Have you ordered from Sezane before, how did you find the sizing/ the quality/the returns process? Right I am off to order the blouses, I will report back..

As always I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, until next time Fran xxx

Styling up the Trench

2.26.2018

Style Theory: The trench, a classic Spring staple, endlessly useful to throw over layers in the colder months and as spring arrives, the perfect chic coat to wear over a dressed down outfit, it instantly creates a chic look.

The trench has been reinvented in many guises over the years and this year it was this Marks and Spencer Limited Edition trench that really caught my eye..

Coat - Marks and Spencer £89Hoody - Marks and Spencer £29.50Shoes - Marks and Spencer £35Bag - Marks and Spencer £25
I adore the over size, puff sleeves, they create drama and interest, the trapeze cut along with the huge pleat at the back of the coat makes it look elegant and sophisticated. I love a trench dressed down with a hoody and jeans but added a pair of heels for a slightly more chic look. I sized down  - I am wearing a size 6 so have sized down two sizes.

Photos by Victoria Metaxas
These Marks and Spencer shoes are so comfy, I bought a similar pair from M&S a few years ago and have worn them so many times. They are flattering on my legs and the heels are high but because they have M&S's famous insolia in the soles they are comfortable and easy to walk in. I have quite thin (but big) feet, I sized down half a size and they fit well, the first strap is a teeny but wide but it does not really notice. These shoes work with everything from floral dresses to baggy distressed boyfriend jeans and at £35 they are money well spent. The bag is huge with a popper at the top, the perfect bag to throw loads in for a day shopping/out with the kids and also pretty good for taking to the beach on summer holiday.

If you fancy a more dramatic look, this gingham trench looks pretty amazing on, again I would size down I do find M&S coats come up big..
M&S £89
Wear this trench with ankle length jeans, a white broderie anglaise blouse and a pair of white supergas for a chic Spring look.
M&S £45
This is another fab trench (I have this too) I sized down one size on this and to make it look a little more individual I always use my own belt - I have a wide-ish dark red one that looks fab and makes it look a little more dressy.
Marks and Spencer £35
These are insanely comfortable shoes, super soft leather and feel like slippers, really really beautiful.
M&S £89
This bag caught my eye when I was in store, soft leather, slouchy and looks so much more expensive than M&S..chic and classy.

Are you a fan of the trench, which style is your favourite? As always I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, until next time Fran xx

This was written in collaboration with M&S, all styling, opinions are my own.

I LOVE Leopard print....

2.23.2018

Jumper - Me & Em
Skirt - Rixo London
Shoes - M&S
Style Theory: Starting with the most obvious fashion statement..leopard print is a neutral. I think we have all grasped this fact, leopard can be worn with any colour, looks great in so many styles but is best not layered up, for me one piece of leopard print clothing is perfect.

I am obsessed with leopard print, I love it, my wardrobe is becoming full of it, I am not sure whether it is because I am 43 or just that I like it more but I feel comfortable in it, it is sassy and classy at the same time. It adds interest to a basic outfit, an edge and a bit of fun. I love wearing a leopard print shirt with jeans and neutral heels, or a leopard print dress dressed down with tan/black shoes. It is easy, it does all the work so you don't have to... so without further ado here are my fave leopard items..
Ganni £295
This dress took a lot of consideration to buy, the final push was being invited to the NTAs and as usual having 'nothing' to wear, not exactly true but it was a great excuse. It is the most comfortable, light, easy to wear dress, I have worn it so so many times already and cannot wait to wear it in the summer too with flat tan sandals.
Dress - Ganni £295
Boots - Chloe
It is a pure silk dress (hence the price) but does not crease and floats over all lumps and bumps!
Moss Copenhagen at Asos £60
This dress is Scandi perfection, just pop a black body underneath or a chunky red jumper over the top, this dress with take you straight through to summer and onto next season..
Asos £38
This gives the Ganni look at a fraction of the price, wear with tan knee high boots now or black opaques and black heels and in the summer with tan sandals.
YAS at Asos £48
Love the wrap and ruffle detail on this skirt, this would look fab with a black poloneck and heels.
Warehouse at Asos £32
A super chic take on the leopard print shirt, love this with black ankle length jeans and white stan smith trainers.
Zara £29.99
An easy way to add a little leopard into your wardrobe, just add a pair of black dungarees and trainers.
Lollys Laundry at Born at Dawn £74.95
Now bear with me with these trousers, they look amazing on, all you need is a black cashmere polo neck and a pair of black pointed heels or team with a pair of trainers. I am not sure how long they are but I will order them and let you know!
Lily and Lionel £300
This is on the super top end of what I would spend but this dress is the most gorgeous shape, I love the plunging but sophisticated neckline and gentle shaping. It is 100% silk crepe so would be light as a feather on.

Scamp and Dude £50
Love these Scamp and Dude sweaters the perfect way to dress down leopard.
Sezane €210
This bag is on my shopping list, the perfect size, very 2018 shape and looks (and is!) expensive.
Dune £70
Sometimes you just need a really great, not too high, pair of leopard court shoes. These ones are THE ones to get, the heel is the perfect height, the toe just pointed enough, wear with a pair of boyfriend jeans and a black poloneck now, in the summer wear with your black summer dresses.
Air and Grace £159
These are the most comfy trainers, like walking on air, I have them and they are such a fab schoolrun, pair of pumps.

There is a round up of all my favourite leopard items on the high street at the moment, such a timeless and cool print, I see my wardrobe soon being dominated by it!

Are you a leopard print fan, do you find you have more and more in your wardrobe? As always I love hearing your thoughts and comments, until next time Fran xxxx

Add some Spring into your Winter Wardrobe...

2.14.2018

Skirt - Hush £89
Jumper - Wyse Trainers - Golden Goose
Blazer - M&S (old season)
Style Theory: The perfect way to add a little Spring into your winter wardrobe is by buying a few, bright, useful items that you can layer up now with jumpers and boots then wear in the summer with sandals and tees.

The new Spring collection has just landed at Hush and is the perfect place to look to find those fresh new, wearable items to add a bit of oomph and excitement to you winter looks..

Here is my edit of my favourite pieces..
Hush £89
This was the skirt that caught my eye at the press day and the one I am wearing above. I love it, it looks fab on, I have paired it with a navy cashmere jumper (to match the navy stripe) and my tan boots. In the summer I cannot wait to wear it with a white tee and tab flat sandals and a denim jacket, such a useful skirt and one that I know will sell out super quick! I have the size 8 (I am normally a size 10)
Hush £79
This jumper looks great on, it is a knit (not a sweater) so hangs beautifully. Wear now with jeans (I would wear with my pink velvet heels for a night out) sling a black biker over the top. In the summer wear with denim shorts and pink sliders..just gorgeous. I would size up to a medium for a slouchy fit.
Hush £359
This is a huge investment, but believe me this biker jacket looks utterly AMAZING on. A stunning twist on the plain biker jacket, the small silver studs just elevate the look making it look like a designer piece. Without a doubt this jacket is on my wishlist, it is beautiful. I would size down as I like biker jackets to be a neat fit and I normally find Hush clothing comes up a little big.
Hush £35
A super soft tee that would look great under a biker or a denim jacket.
Hush £125
This is the most beautiful pink colour, it radiates against the skin of the face making your face glow and skin look healthy. I love a bright pink cashmere in the summer, it looks effortlessly stylish with pale blue ankle length jeans and white superga trainers.
Hush £49

Hush excel at loungewear, I wear a LOT of loungewear at home - I always always change into my tracksuit bottoms/pjs bottoms as soon as I get home, so it is a real treat to have some cool leopard ones that I can go out in too!
Hush £110
A stunning tulle skirt with delicate, silver stars embroidered all over it. I would wear this now with high heeled pointed boots and a black cashmere sweater and in the summer with a grey marl tee and trainers.
Hush £75
A very designer-esque jumper, the logo is embroidered on and looks so so expensive. One of those jumpers that you can wear with everything. For now I would wear with skinny black jeans and chunky black boots or black converse, in the summer pair with skinny pale, blue jeans and white trainers. LOVE it!!
Hush £89
Possibly one of my most worn items in the Spring and Summer, the khaki jacket is such a useful piece. Perfect for the schoolrun, weekends, great with a breton tee, jeans and trainers. This jacket fits beautifully the diamond embroidered detail at the back makes it that little bit special. As before I do find Hush jackets come up a little big so I would size down.

Those are my favourite pieces I saw, if I could afford it I would have every one in my Spring wardrobe - you can shop the Hush Spring Edit here I do normally find Hush comes up a little on the big side so so tend to size down mainly on the jackets but always take my normally size or size up on sweaters and knitwear as I like them to be quite slouchy..

C'mon Spring we are ready for you!! Thanks for reading, until next time Fran xxx

Shopping with Fran - My edit of my Fave items on the High Street and what size to order?

2.09.2018

Jumper - Tabitha Webb
Jeans - Gap (old)
Blazer - M&S (old)
Trainers - Golden Goose
Style Theory: My tops picks from the high street this week, Spring is hitting the high street so I have been checking out things to buy now to wear now but will also see you through to the summer and onto Autumn too (I love clothes you can wear all year around!)

ZARA
I haven't been into Zara for a while, I was beginning to feel like there was too much stock and I couldn't see the wood for the trees but this season there seems to be some clarity back, the stores look clearer and less cluttered and there are some gorgeous key, statement, trend pieces alongside some great basic blouses and shoes..
I am such a sucker for a white broderie blouse, this is a beautiful one with intricate embroidery and looks great tucked into jeans. I love it with dark red boots now and in the summer with flat strappy sandals and pale blue ankle length jeans. I am wearing the size medium, I sized up a little mainly because I find Zara cotton shrinks a little after washes so it is better to buy on the big side rather than smaller.
Zara £89.99
I love a trophy jacket and Zara always makes the best ones. This one caught my eye, the soft khaki colour is flatttering and the embroidery makes it extra special. It will be beautiful in the spring with a mid blue camisole, ankle length jeans and little white trainers. This is a medium, I think it was a little big on me so would order a small (I am a size 10)
Zara £25.99
I love this top, I thought it was quite Minnie Mouse at first but it actually looks fab on. The puff sleeve detail and the bows on the sleeve are lovely, I bought the size small, (I do tend to normally wear medium in Zara) It looks just as good with trainers as with heels.
Zara £49.99
This is possibly one of the most comfortable jumpsuits I have worn for ages. It is super long so I would have to take up the legs by about a foot! It is the perfect jumpsuit to wear to dinner/ drinks out, it would look good with super high heels (I think a pointed shoe or boot always looks good under a wide leg trouser) I am wearing a size small I would say it is true to size.
Zara £39.99
Love love this dress, it is linen and perfect for the Spring or an early summer holiday. It feels so light on and would look great with tan sandals in the summer, this is a size small I would say it is true to size.

H&M
I love popping into (good) H&Ms - the bigger stores always have the best choice and newest collections. It is great for adding a pop of colour to your wardrobe, or for a reasonably priced dress for a smart occasion..
H&M £34.99
This mustard colour is fab, it looks quite retro, the print is liberty-esque. The fabric feels great on, I love the voluminous sleeves and puff details. Size down on this one it comes up a little big I am wearing a size 8. This will look great with everything from dungarees to black smart trousers for work, a useful piece in any wardrobe.
H&M £39.99
The print of this dress really caught my eye, you can't really see in this photo but the pink is vibrant and eyecatching. It is a tube dress, incredibly comfortable to wear, I would pair with heeled black/tan boots now and in the summer with my favourite flat, tan, strappy sandals. This is an 8 it comes up a little big.
H&M £24.99
This dress is amazing on, the elasticated neck and waist is surprisingly flattering, the top puffs out a little at waist and creates a really flattering silhouette. This is a size 8 so it does come up a little big.

&Other Stories
One of my favourite stores for everything from dresses to knitwear to trainers...
&Other Stories £125
These drapey dressing gown-looking jackets are amazing in the summer, they look great over swimsuits, shorts and tees or over a stripe top and jeans. This one comes up a little big size down (I am wearing size 24)
&OtherStories £69
This is the perfect dress to take you from winter to summer, wear now with black ankle boots or knee high tan boots and in the summer with flat, black strappy sandals ot strappy heels. I sized down to size 34.

A quick round up of my favourite items on the high street this week, it is starting to feel like the high street is 'springing' to life, so many lovely things flooding into the shops, I will be back next week with more #shoppingwithFran - for the videos follow me on Instagram here  and check out Instastories.
