It is All White.....

Style Theory: It's high summer and it is all about White....

Maybe it was my trip to Wimbledon yesterday or just the fact that there is so much white in the shops but I am just loving the all white look. I have not dared wear white for years (approx 7..) because I have always been surrounded by the little ones however, this summer I am making an exception and will ride with the potential of sticky handprints...

Here is style inspiration behind my switch to the white side..

Now for the best on the high street:

Topshop Dress £110
Hobbs Evie dress now £134
Whistles Sequin Top £135
Topshop Lace panel Tee £38
Oasis Skirt £50
Topshop Knitted Rib Jumper £38
KG Espadrilles £75
White Backpack New Look £19.99

It is most definitely all about white on white, I like a touch of pale grey (a pale grey scarf or belt) or black or a breton thrown in the mix. Layer up your whites, balance floaty boho tops with slim fitting/skinny white jeans or wear with shorts. If going for the culotte or palazzo pant try to keep tops as neat fitting and structured as possible. Only white looks simple, elegant and stylish..are you brave enough?

My Style over the past couple of days:

As near as I have got to wearing white so far..but I am converting myself!:
Dress: H&M
Jacket: Warehouse
Trainers: Stan Smith Adidas
I am just loving culottes at the moment, seriously practical, comfortable and cool in the heat...I bought these See by Chloe ones below from a fab website called EditSecondHand, it is really worth having a look as they have some beautiful second hand designer clothes and accessories for a fraction of the price they are new in the shops...I have my eye on a pair of Jimmy Choos next!
Denim shirt: Gap
See by Chloe culottes:
editsecondhand.com
Shoes: H&M
Bag:TK Maxx
For fun in the park in the sunshine with the little dude:
Shirt: Gap
Shorts: Gap
Trainers: Stan Smith Adidas
Are you a fan of the all white look...have you embraced it this summer?

As always I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, until next time, Frances xxxx

  3. Really like the pairing of pink more structured shirt with jean shorts. My boys are 6 and 4 and still not brave enough to wear white just yet! So many nice things on the high street though. Could you offer any advice on where to buy some nice necklaces for layering, I've been hankering after a laura lee gold disc necklace for ages but can't really afford it. Thank you xx

    1. Hi Laura, my two are 7 and 4 so I can just about wear white!! I bought my little sis this necklace from John Lewis I bought a finer gold chain separately as she wanted it to be shorter, the necklace looks great on and is a good layering piece http://m.johnlewis.com/mt/www.johnlewis.com/store/john-lewis-gemstones-18ct-gold-plated-round-disc-with-charm-pendant-necklace/p737225?sku=232500324&colour=Blue&isd2c=false&un_jtt_v_dummy=yes#page_loaded I also love the fine necklaces on Asos there are loads to choose from I have my eye on the pearl on the thin chain (the brand is Dogeared..I think?!) but it is worth a scroll through as they have some lovely designs http://m.asos.com/mt/www.asos.com/Women/Jewellery-Watches/Gold-Silver-Jewellery/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=18829&pgeSize=50&un_jtt_redirect hope you find something you like xxxx

  6. Love the pic of you in culottes, so edgy! As for all white, it's not compatible with my boys and living by the sea/in the country as we are always getting grubby, but white tops yes and I've bought a white skirt, so maybe! A x
