The Big Trainer Edit

9.08.2017

Style Theory: The trainer trend is possibly my favourite ever trend. Comfortable, practical and cool trainers are the footwear I live in. Perfect for everything from the schoolrun, to meetings and at the weekend, there are so many different brands, shapes, colours so here is an edit of my favourites.....

Starting with designer down to high street...

First Golden Goose, I have had my Golden Goose trainers for five years and have worn the sole down to nothing as I have worn them so much. For me, they have absolutely been worth shelling out the initial heavy cost as I absolutely love the distressed look, find them incredibly comfortable and wear them..a lot!. The style, I know, is not for everyone and they are big investment purchases but are without a doubt my favourites..
Golden Goose £345
Golden Goose £290
Golden Goose £265

Next to my other fave trainers.. Stan Smiths. Initially burst back on to the scene thanks to Pheobe Philo who rocked them with trousers and a sweater, a laid back, cool look that was the start to the whole 'normcore' fashion. They are, again, incredibly comfortable and just look great on. I love them worn with skinny leather trousers and big knits or dresses and a biker...just perfect..

Easy to find on the high street and the perfect trainers to wear with every outfit..

ASOS £70
&Other Stories £80
These Stan Smiths have a slight platform, they look great on with a skinny trouser suit and blouse or with ankle length skinny jeans and a sweater.

Next are Adidas Gazelles to add a pop of colour to your look..

Gazelles have had a resurgence over the last few years and are now the cool girls choice. They look great in bright colours and I love them worn with skirts and dresses, pick out one colour from the pattern on your dress or skirt and match with a pair of gazelles..it looks fab....

Gazelles make feet look slim and look good with floral dresses, they makes things look less girly, more edgy..

Vans - the teenage skater sneakers that I am also pretty fond of. They are super light and again really comfy, great with block colour dresses or with skinny leather trousers/jeans...

Finally are Nike Air Max....like walking on air, and look fab in the winter with black skinny jeans, a big black roll neck and red coat..

Air Max Thea £95
Still love these trainers and think they look amazing on, black trainers are THE practical choice for the schoolrun.
Asos £90
The most beautiful, sugary pink trainers, practical..err maybe not but oh so pretty..
Nike Air Max 97 Ultra £140
The new kid on the block, these Nike Air Max 97 trainers are the footwear of choice for lots of people at New York fashion week, and are on my shopping list. They look like more of a running trainer but are being worn with dresses and trousers as I used to do in the 90s with my skirt suit when commuting to the city! An interesting, almost 'nerdy' take on the trainer trend but one that I am happy to go with as I just love being comfortable!

I have quite a few of those trainers above in my trainer collection, it all started 10 years ago when I had Jess and needed to move fast! I still have all of them, I cannot bear to part with them especially my Golden Goose I have literally walked through!

What are your favourite trainers, are you a slight trainer addict like me? As always I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, until next time Fran xx

  2. Wanted a fashion consultant? Keeping a consultant is good because for them we can get a better fashion. That is amazing when we get the best fashion in this time. Because fashion is life we can show our outfit by this fashion.
